PDF Help

There are currently some known issues with viewing PDF files using Adobe Acrobat through Internet Explorer. If you are experiencing problems in viewing any of our documents then please read below for how to overcome these.

Use Adobe Acrobat Reader as a Helper Application

If you don't want PDFs to open in your browser window, you can set up Reader as a helper application. When you use this configuration and click a PDF file link in a Web page, Internet Explorer opens Acrobat Reader as a separate application where you view the PDF.

In Acrobat Reader, choose File > Preferences > General and deselect Web Browser Integration in the Options area of the General Preferences dialog box. Click OK, and then exit from the Acrobat Reader and restart Internet Explorer. The next time you select a link to a PDF file in internet Explorer, a File Download dialog box will prompt you to specify what to do with the file:

Upgrade Adobe Acrobat Reader

If you are still having difficulties and are using Acrobat Reader 4, then try re-installing the reader or upgrading to version 5 or above.

Upgrade Internet Explorer

Most issues are with IE versions 5 and below. Simply by installing the IE5.01 service pack or upgrading to version 5.5 or greater will solve the problem.
